Abstract: Retired baseball superstar Pedro Martinez is ready to part ways with his home in Winchester, Massachusetts. He is selling the five-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom property for $1.995 million.

The pitcher cemented his legendary status with a seven-year stint with the Boston Red Sox.

In addition to winning two Cy Young Awards with the Red Sox, he was a key member of the team's 2004 World Series championship roster.

These days, the Dominican-born superstar has a property in Florida to fall back on - he bought the house in North Miami for $3 million in 2019.

The place he is selling is located north of Boston on more than an acre of land. Built in 1995, the 5,120-square-foot home has a traditional feel inside and out.

Martinez purchased the place in September 2018 for $1.3 million.

The open layout extends from the living and dining rooms to the kitchen, while a large deck wraps around the family room and offers views of the verdant backyard.

The master bedroom has its own fireplace, walk-in closet, and a soaking tub in the adjoining bathroom.

The lower level has an office and a home gym, as well as a hair and makeup room.

Martinez and his wife, Carolina Cruz Martinez, spent a lot of time there preparing for their on-camera roles on MLB on TBS and ESPN Deportes.

Martinez pitched 18 seasons in the majors, racking up 219 wins and more than 3,000 strikeouts.

The beloved pitcher retired in 2009 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015.

In addition to his television work, he runs a namesake charity that addresses poverty by providing funds for children's medical and educational needs.
